Lori Sokol, Ph.D., is the Executive Director and Editor-in-Chief of Women’s eNews, an award-winning, global news organization that reports on the most crucial issues impacting women and girls around the world. She has trained countless women on how to create and craft articles and commentaries that get published.
Lori’s op-eds/commentaries have been published in such major market publications as the Baltimore Sun, The NY Times, The Huffington Post and on Slate.com (where she served as a regular columnist). She has also been interviewed on a variety of television news programs including MSNBC, CNBC, WPIX, and most recently on the Wall Street Journal and Forbes Magazine podcasts.
Lori was also the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Sokol Media, Inc., publisher of business magazines that advocated for diversity, inclusion and sustainability in the workplace. As an educational psychologist, Lori’s research specifically focused on the media’s influence in crafting gender roles, further seeking to expose how gender stereotypes are created and maintained.
Her book, The Agile Workforce and Workplace: The New Future of Work, was published by Working Mother Media/Bonnier Corporation in 2011. She is currently working on her second book, #SheIsMe: How Women Will Save The World, (Publisher: She Writes Press) due out in the spring of 2020.
